Foreign Direct Investments

In December 2023, Sweden will introduce a new law on foreign direct investment screening to protect Swedish security interests. At the same time, foreign actors are important for the development of wind power in Sweden.

What will the new regulatory framework mean for decisions in the investment process? Is there a risk that the regulations will limit new capital coming into Sweden? Will Sweden be able to meet the expansion rate we need to ensure electricity production in a scenario of reduced foreign ownership? What is the situation in other countries?
