Two Successful Days at VIND2024
VIND2024 – Sweden’s energy transition arena – offered an exhibition, mingle, networking dinner, seminar program and VIND Talks.
The electrification is key for Sweden to succeed in the climate transition while maintaining – or rather strengthening – our competitiveness. The program for VIND2024 reflected this through the conference themes of the robust electricity system, investment conditions for wind power, security policy, and the EU’s role in the transition.
Up to 1,000 participants from the energy industry, politics, public sector and academia came together for insights, inspiration and networking – both from the high-level seminar program on stage and in the exhibition with our 50 exhibitors.
In the afternoon of the first day of the conference, the Swedish Wind Energy Association hosted an opening ceremony, insightful facts from Energiforsk’s CEO Magnus Wråke on the state of the electrification, and networking mingle in parallel with short lectures from the VIND Talk stage in the exhibition. The first day of the conference ended with a separate networking dinner for the entire industry.
The second day of the conference offered insights from the stage by, among others, Minister for Climate and the Environment Romina Pourmokhtari and Swedish Social Democratic Party Leader Magdalena Andersson.
The Swedish Wind Centre (SWC) arranged a seminar on 22 October from 13:00-17:00 in connection with VIND2024 where researchers presented existing research in both life extension of wind turbines and wind resources in Swedish conditions. Learn more about the programme on the SWC website.
