The State of Expansion of Swedish Wind Power – Presentation of Q3 Statistics and Forecast
Last summer, the Swedish Wind Energy Association (SWEA) noted that the expansion of wind power continues in Sweden. However, the previous quarter was the first time since the energy crisis in 2022 that no new investment decisions had been made. What is the current state of wind power expansion in Sweden? And what is the forecast for the future?
SWEA publishes quarterly statistics and forecasts on the expansion of wind power in Sweden. The statistics are based on data from turbine manufacturers and other market players. The short-term forecast is based on investment decisions and an assessment of projects that may be developed, as well as new projects that are in the permitting process.

More Yield Under Low-Wind and High Energy Prices Conditions With Vestas PPO?
Waila AB, an independent technical wind energy consultancy established in 2018, presents its insights following an analysis of a 160 megawatts (MW) wind turbines in total, and how an upgrade of the control system can improve production. The promises of the wind turbine upgrade industry are often bold. However, detecting marginal power gains in the power curve data cloud is tricky. The session explores whether it makes sense to invest in optimization measures in a time of low energy prices and provides concrete answers on how Vesta’s PPO can contribute to higher returns in difficult market conditions.
